
Susanna Gregorian – Violinista
Susanna Gregorian, prize-winning German, Russian trained Violinist has launched her successful solo career with two recent recordings of Mozart Concertos & Armenian Repertoire.
Susanna was born in Armenia. Her exceptional talent was discovered early on and at the tender age of five she took her first violin lessons by grandfather A.Dzufalakian. In two years later Susanna entered at the Gnessin College of Music for the exceptionally talented in Moscow. Then she continued studies with Prof.Maya Glezarova’s violin class at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
Since 1994 Susanna has been living in Cologne, where she continued post- graduate studies by Sashko Gavriloff violin class at the Cologne Conservatory.
In years 1992-2000 she was a Concertmaster of Philharmonie der Nationen Symphony Orchestra with founder pianist & conductor Justus Frantz. Her career has taken her to France, Italy, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Finland, Spain, Australia, Canada, the UK, Scotland, Ireland and the USA.
In 1997 Susanna won the Mozart Prize at the Carl Flesh Academy in Baden-Baden and First Prize at the International Duo Competition in memory of Christian Ferras & Pierre Barbizet in Marseille, France. In 1999 she won III prize at the International Viotti Competition in Italy.
Susanna has made broadcast recordings for Radio Moscow, West German Radio (WDR), Radio Suisse Romande. She signed with CHANDOS Records Ltd on MP3 Files with her new CD recordings under “New Artists” .
As a soloist, as well as leader of many orchestras, including the London Symphony and Covent Garden, Susanna has performed with such famous names as Rostropovich, Mehta, Pergamenshikov, Kashkashian, Frantz, Gergiev, Maazel, Boulez, Sitkovetsky and Bashmet.
During year 2007 Susanna has successful tours in Australia with a solo concerts in Sydney Opera House ,Canada, UK, Ireland and Spain. She played by live-Interview on BBC classic program in Foyle, Ireland. In 2008 Susanna gave a successful Debut-recital at the Wigmore Hall, London –UK.
2008-2011 she played solo concerts together with Yuri Bashmet and “Moscow Soloists” Chamber orchestra, on II Y.Bashmet Winter Festival in Sochi Russia, concerts at “III Festival del Mediterrani-Zubin Mehta”and later as a soloist & director with Chamber Orchestra of Palau les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia.
